2014- Present   Sweet Water High School (General Education Teacher)

My name is Brittany James and I am so thankful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Sweet Water High School family for three years. I began my journey here at Sweet Water in 2013 as an intern from The University of West Alabama. I knew Sweet Water High School was different upon entering the doors! After spending a semester with the faculty, staff, and students of Sweet Water High School it was difficult to entertain the thought of working elsewhere. I was hired in the fall of 2014 for a kindergarten position which I held until this year. This year I am excited to be working with fourth grade students!

Two thousand, sixteen has been an eventful year for myself and my family! On April 23, 2016 I married the love of my life! My husband, Patrick, is a Choctaw County native and we currently live in Pennington, Alabama.  We have a ten year old son, Lincoln, and a dog, Max. We love to spend time outdoors! We enjoy going to our camp at Millers Ferry where we spend our days swimming in the Alabama River, fishing, and hog hunting.

I am just as honored today as I was three years ago to be working alongside such and extraordinary faculty and staff. I am honored to aid in carrying on this tradition of excellence! There is truly something about this place!
