My name is Allison Vick. I was born and raised in Thomasville, Alabama. I am happily married to Jerry Vick. We will celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary in December. We have one 6-year old son, named Benjamin. This summer we welcomed a daughter, named Lora Kate, to our family. Both of our children complete our lives! We live in Fulton, Alabama. I am proud to say that my children are the 6th generation to live on this family land. We have one dog, named Dory. She is such a gentle dog, and helps keep the house protected. She has been such a wonderful four-legged daughter. :)
I graduated from Thomasville High School in 1996. After finishing high school, I continued my schooling at Alabama Southern Community College. I received an Associates in Science from ASCC in 1998. I transferred to the University of Montevallo, and received my BS degree in Communication Science Disorders in 2000. I did not want to stop there, so I transferred to the University of Alabama where I received my certifications in early childhood, elementary education, and special education from the Multiple Abilities Program. I began my teaching career in Tuscaloosa at Englewood Elementary. I taught there 8 years, until my husband and I moved back home to Clarke County. I taught 3 years in the Thomasville City Schools. This is my second year teaching at Sweet Water High School. I am loving it here! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I cannot wait to continue my career here! :)
