Physical Education, Health, Access and Head Varsity Baseball Coach

I graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama in 1989 and received a baseball scholarship from Huntingdon College.  In high school I was selected to the All-Metro team as a senior second baseman and was nominated for the Jimmy Hitchcock Award.  I am entering my 10th year as a head baseball coach and 15th year as a physical educator.  In 2005, I was named the head varsity baseball coach at Lowndes Academy.  During my four year tenure at Lowndes, my teams won two consecutive state championships (2006-2007) and finished runner-up once (2005).  I was named AISA “Coach of the Year” three years in a row (2005-2007) and was voted by my peers as the “Coach of the Year” two consecutive years (2006-2007) by the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association.  In 2008, I was named the head baseball coach and Health teacher at Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School.  I served three years at Brew Tech before taking the assistant principal position.  While there my team won their first Area Championship (2009) and also earned their first two play-off appearances in school history.  In 2009 and 2014, I was voted by my peers to coach the South All-Star team during the AHSAA All-Star Sports Week in Montgomery, Alabama.  Not only am I a head baseball coach, but I am also a certified fitness trainer and a physical education teacher.  In college (Huntingdon) I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education in 1995.  As a student athlete I made the Dean’s List multiple years (1992-1995), was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.44.  I later went on and earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Alabama State University in 2009.  I am married to the former Christina Nall from Lowndesboro, Alabama and have two beautiful girls who are the love of my life.  Emi Ann is 15 years old and is in the 10th grade, while Abigail is 11 years old and is in the 6th grade at Lowndes Academy.  I currently live in Lowndesboro and enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, and participating in church activities.
