My name is Wendy Joiner.  This is my 24th year to teach school.

After graduating Auburn University in 1992, I taught both 3rd and 4th grade in Georgia.  After leaving Georgia, I moved to Louisiana where I taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. My first year back in Alabama I taught kindergarten at Gillmore Elementary in Jackson. Since then, I have been at SWHS where I've taught 4th grade and technology.  Last year I served as the Elementary Guidance Counselor.  I am currently the Instructional Coach.

While living in Louisiana, I attended LSU where I received my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading.

I have two sons. They both attend SWHS. Chase is a Senior, and Reed is in 9th grade.

I am excited about being the Instructional Coach at SWHS. I am looking forward to a great year!
